As a business coach for women, I’ve seen this scenario play out more times than I can count…
A group of women, say, at a networking meeting or work event. They share their wins: full bookings, product launches, rising revenue…
They appear to be winning at this business game. They look like they’ve “won.”
But beneath the polished surface, many feel flat, disconnected, even convinced they’re just not enough.
As one client put it, “To anyone outside, it looks amazing. But inside, I feel just not enough”.
That’s not broken. That’s brave.
You’re noticing the conflict between what works and what feels right. That’s not a flaw. It’s a signal that deeper alignment matters.
Here’s what shows up before strategies fail or grind you down:
This isn’t burnout. It’s conviction calling, saying: “we’ve got more to do and differently.”
As a business coach for women, I see how inherited narratives distort success into performance. We often believe things like:
“Belonging is everything, you’ve got to work hard to prove yourself worthy.”
“If you pause, you’ll lose momentum.”
“You need to make perfection non-negotiable.”
These are not truths, they’re inherited stories. And because they are so familiar, they can feel true, when they’re really just barriers that stop us from living with clarity.
You’re Brave. Not Broken.
Here’s what often trips us up; not lack of grit, but a misalignment in our inner messages. It’s time to stop identifying with being “blocked.” That language dims your spark. Instead, acknowledge:
“I’m doing a lot. I want it to connect with me again.”
Now THAT is self-awareness. That is wisdom. And that is where the true path begins.
This is how I support clients to pause without losing momentum and to use stillness as a strategy. When alignment shifts, it’s not strategy that resets you. It’s presence.
1. Name what’s showing up for you. Is it:
“I feel fuzzy.”
“I feel out-of-step.”
“I just don’t feel excited anymore.”
Then say it. Journaling helps. Whatever gets it real, because clarity needs clarity.
2. Pause with purpose.
Not a break from life. A break within life.
Walk in silence.
Clear your desk for 30 minutes.
Block out ten minutes of your time to just pause and reset.
Ask: “What’s needed here?”
That space is the ground before action. Not small. Strategic.
3. Return to you.
Here’s where it gets personal:
You ask yourself: “What do I want now?”
Check your energy; is it energised or lacking, somehow?
Remember a time when joy was palpable, then ask yourself,” How can I recreate that?”
Before every client call, I close my eyes and tap into that same feeling. I’m not connecting to miracles, I’m connecting to deeper questions. And that sets my client up for clarity, fast.
You don’t need to heal it all. You just need to hear it.
4. Then, Strategy That Sticks
Once you’re aligned, strategy starts working with you, not against you.
Your voice lands calmly, without strain.
Goals lift spirits, not weigh them down.
Growth feels owned, not imposed.
That’s when your business becomes more than just a success story; it becomes much more representative of you, and who and what you are.
If your business has momentum but you don’t have that momentum’s energy, you’re on the cusp of change that will bring more alignment, more fulfillment and more joy.
Here’s your permission slip:
Pause right now for…
And that courage is everything.
If you want real clarity + calm confidence, I walk that path with women like you every day.
